The PCT's initial predictable response to the Gazette
By Den Heslop on 01/05/2009
16:05pm Lynne Milford from the Gazette called Ria to relay the PCT's initial response - totally predictable but also totally untrue!
The PCT claimed in their response that:
1) They were waiting for Ria’s diagnosis and treatment plan from her USA consultant
2) That Ria had been offered five different specialists which she had not taken up
I immediately emailed Lynne evidence clearly demonstrating that these claims from the PCT were, once again, fabricated lies.
1) Copies of Ria’s diagnosis and treatment plan from her USA consultant (and from Prof Daymond) have been with the PCT and her GP for two years - they initially funded and treated Ria on the back of this information! However, on 21/04/2009, because they appear to have again mislaid this information, Ria gave Dr Renju seven pages of diagnosic documentation from her US consultant. Dr Renju was given permission to release this information to the PCT under certain conditions and he states that he faxed a copy to them on the same day.
On 27/04/09 Dennis Heslop delivered a letter by hand to Matt Bushell reminding him that he did not have permission to pass Ria’s diagnostic information on to yet another of their “preffered” ID doctors because he had not answered any of our previous questions regarding their qualifications. In this letter, Matt Bushell was however given permission to use Ria’s diagnostic information if is used to support her case for funding.
2) In my letter to Matt Bushell on 03/11/08 I advised him, for the third time, that Ria had already seen one of the “specialists” from his list of five, Dr Stephen Wright from the Hospital for Tropical Disease. Both Mike Cable and Sarah Gallone had also been advised of this fact earlier in 2008 and her handwritten notes confirming this were also included. More recently Matt Bushell was advised about this fact for the fourth time but, for some reason, they have collectively chosen to ignore us again, and again, and again, and again!
